  • This is a gorgeous baby quilt


    I could not be more thrilled with my purchase from you.  I think the new
    parents are going to get a lot of enjoyment and practical use out of
    this hand-created treasure. The carrying bag was just the nicest most personal touch. My neighbor who has been quilting for friends and family for years and has won competitive quilting awards from state fairs and clubs checked out the size and quality as well as the workmanship in fabric and patterns, stitching and binding and she was all smiles. She said real quilters know to include the color saver pads for washing.

What's in a Wishbone Quilt?

A handmade baby quilt is something special. Although you might purchase it as an heirloom, you shouldn't be afraid to let your baby use it, love it, drag it, spit up and poop on it. It's JUST a quilt, it can be washed -- and after all, aren't you buying a quilt for your special loved one so it is loved?

It takes a lot of materials and time to make a quilt. The materials alone for each quilt are a substantial cost, and the time that goes into each quilt can be up to 40 hours or more. I only use the best quality, 100% quilters' cotton and 100% cotton batting. I'm picky. If I wouldn't make it for my children, I won't make it for yours. Fine materials make a fine product. Period. So keep this in mind as you browse. You might think the prices are high, and they are for some, but you are getting a one of a kind, custom made, handmade original quilt.

About Me

I am a confessed fabric addict. Not in the way you would need a 12 step program, but my lifelong love of fabrics has taken me on a real path of giving, sharing, friendship and joy.

I got my first battery operated sewing machine at the age of 5 and never stopped sewing! Let’s just say I’ve been sewing for more decades than I’d like to count! We used to be required to take home-economics in 7th grade. While everyone was making pillow cases or aprons, I made a fully lined blazer and culottes (yes I said culottes—I’m not proud of that part). I’ve sewn clothes, curtains, lined draperies, costumes for the stage (and Halloween of course), wedding gowns, quilts — you name it, I’ve probably sewn it! I’ve been making quilts for years and fell into free motion quilting, a whole new way to quilt, and I am loving the creativity.
